In a time defined by constant distraction, SBDP calls us back to our incredible landscapes, from the developed and designed to its watery edges, scenic hills, enchanted redwoods and red rocks.

This Land began as short video dance pieces in some of the iconic landscapes of the USA. In 2016, SBDP focused on Oakland, providing a series of free outdoor site-specific performances, as well as an evening-length theater piece. We have since partnered with East Bay Regional Parks District to provide movement workshops in nature, exploring sights, sounds, smells, and movement as part of the creative process and appreciation of the natural world.
