A Note & Video from Sarah Bush

Hello family and friends,

I am writing you today to say thank you and to ask for your continued support of my dance work. It has truly been an exciting year. We have begun laying the foundation to build Sarah Bush Dance Project into the dance organization I have always imagined I would create. I have worked closely with a mentor, Victor Gotesman, Executive Director of ODC, to align my artistic vision and passion with my values. It is a richly satisfying process to clarify my values – feminism, diversity, growth, authenticity – and to have them drive not only my choreography and my dancing but also my direction, my communication, my investment of my energy.

The small and mighty team that makes up SBDP has accomplished so much this year. I recognize daily that I cannot do this alone. In order to make the art, opportunities and experiences that I envision, it takes an ever-expanding circle of all types of support. Thank you for being a part of this circle. Thank you for believing in me. I hope the work I do in the coming year will touch you, inspire you. There is so much to come.
