Spirit and Bones is an inter-generational dance performance to music performed by an inter-generational all-star band!
Meet SKIP THE NEEDLE!

Skip The Needle is: Vicki Randle (Tonight Show, Mavis Staples), Julie Wolf (California Shakespeare Theater, Berkeley Repertory Theatre), Katie Cash (Dolorata, Year of the Fist), Shelley Doty (Shelley Doty X-tet, Sistas in the Pitt), and Kofy Brown (Kofy Brown Band, Sistas in the Pit). STN was born from a group of friends jamming: all veterans of multiple bands, tours, and recording. The songs are collectively written to showcase each member’s unique contributions, bringing together rock, funk, soul and fusion in an amalgam that rocks hard and is musically diverse and complex. STN is reckless, eclectic, fearless, fun, dedicated to love, and like nothing you’ve ever heard before. For Spirit and Bones they’ll be creating and performing original songs and sound score. Check out this STN performance at Bay Area Rising!
We are all so excited to be creating together in this new way!
When you #SupportSpiritAndBones you are supporting women artists of all ages. Donate before Friday for your gift to be doubled by Meriama Fund!
From Meriama Fund: We believe in the power of art to change lives, and support movement arts that empower and invite empathy for the experiences of others and celebrate the beauty and diversity of the world around us. We are drawn to dance that serves as a reminder of the goodness, power and compassion in ourselves and in others, and bolsters a resilient hope for humanity.
We hope you’ll consider giving an amount that is meaningful to you, and that you’ll help us get the word out to new audiences! Forward this email, or share as a post on social media! Tags: @ sarahbushdance #SupportSpiritAndBones sarahbushdance.org
