NEW ZOOM WORKSHOP!
Mondays in March, 6:30-7:45 Pacific Time
Dancing In Place led by Sarah Bush and hosted by Mona Khan Company.
4 Monday evenings in March (March 8th – 29th 6:30-7:45pm Pacific)
Dancing In Place is a 4-week creative journey about home. We’ll use our senses to tune-in to our surroundings, explore ways to physically dance with the environments we are in and tell the stories that live there. More information and registration.
NEW VIDEO!
Video and audio score by Miles Lassi of our sixfootwingspan outing to Wildcat Canyon (unceded Ohlone territory) with Sue Li Jue, KJ Dahlaw, Frances Sedayao, and Sarah Bush. We are upholding play as a creative, restorative practice that also generates new ideas for us to build on for our film projects. Watch video here. What do you see? Hear? Feel? Remember? Long for? Wonder? When you watch it? Let us know!(I’m now obsessed with taking stick-balancing into a world of dreamy ritual adornment and nest building!)
In case you missed it…
You can still watch the full video of Sarah’s At Home With Olivia conversation with artistic collaborators Dawn Robinson-Patrick, Aarin Burch, Julie Wolf, and Richelle Donigan. We took a retrospective look back at some of the shows from this past decade of SBDP’s work, talked about our creative processes and the spirit of dance. Watch on Olivia Travel’s facebook page or youtube channel.
Save the Date! Next year, July 1-4, 2021
National Women’s Music Festival in Madison, Wisconsin. You can participate in workshops with and see performances by SBDP and other amazing artists! SBDP will be performing excerpts from Spirit & Bones.
