Greetings SBDP friends, fans and family,
Back in May we told you about filming our first socially-distanced video project with Composer and Videographer Miles Lassi. We’re so excited to share the complete edited piece with you today!
Please check out “Contact Call”
We’d love to hear what thoughts, feelings, questions, ideas come-up for you as and after you watch it!
As dancers we continue to find much needed peace and inspiration by tuning-in to our neighborhood birds. Studying them (with guidance from Audubon Society folks and webinar workshops with the incredible facilitators at Weaving Earth) gives us insight into our own nature and our interconnection to the local and global environment.
Many of the SBDP dancers have decided to use our personal social media right now primarily for amplifying BIPOC voices and art, and for sharing anti-racism resources. We are continuing to support each other’s creativity through our collective weekly process and capturing aspects of it with video and other mediums. If you’re interested in seeing and following along with SBDP’s #sixfootwingspan project you can check out our YouTube channel and our new group blog where individual dancers will share creative process.
Stay tuned for upcoming workshops, performances, birdsits, events and other exciting new collaborative artistic endeavors!
In community,
SBDP
