See Sarah Bush Dance Project at ODC’s state-of-the art theater, September 19th only, in the new PUSHfest dance festival!
SBDP is excited to be part of the inaugural season of PUSHfest: a cross-genre (modern, ballet, hip-hop, ethnic, and multi-disciplinary) dance festival that situates 15 mid-career and emerging choreographers in two different programs at ODC Theater in San Francisco, September 19-21, 2014. The festival’s intrigue is to mix a diverse and culturally relevant entity that is carefully curated by a professional panel made up of artists and presenters.
Sarah Bush Dance Project will present a high-energy fusion of contemporary and hip-hop styles, collaged from SBDP’s performance at this year’s West Wave Dance Festival, “History Of Emergence” at Oakland Pride in 2013 and the Rocked By Women show. Expect strong athletic performances from the all female cast with an emphasis on floor work, partnering and a raw authentic performance quality. And great music.
